Married. No kids. She has US citizenship. Unfortunately, her family has not such luxury.
Was also meaning, currently what can be done to "help" Taiwan prepare for this. After reading more and more, seems inevitable. Don't want to lose hope and would like to give back to this wonderful country.
Completely true. We have three things going for us:
- (Too gradual) reorientation of trade on part of the U.S., EU and West including diversification of chip manufacturing.
- Chinese parents may not want to lose their only child (though they have the numbers).
- Amphibious landings. Easier said than done. They have never done one.
How can we help Taiwan? Currently living in Tainan and waking up to this reality
Your married, but do you have kids?
That's the when you can start looking at an exit plan. Does your wife have an immigration visa for the US?
Lots of stuff need to be done.
