TAIPEI - There is some irony in the three volume set of collections of the manga comic West Pacific War: The Invasion of Taiwan. As it demonstrates more accurate scenarios then your average DC-think tank report.
Though the saucy covers are famous for their buxom cover girls, minus the character arches, the series has been quite revealing.
Detailing the probable landing beaches along Taiwan’s northwest coast, the capture of the Port of Taipei, the underground airbase of Hualien, and the use of the supersonic ramjet Hsiung Feng 3 anti-ship cruise missile, Volume 3 is a great read.
