Finally, Taiwan Terrified?
Taiwan Never Calls China the Bully in the Playground
By Wendell Minnick (Whiskey Mike) 顏文德
TAIPEI - Below is a most unusual press release by the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense (MND), one that should freak out the Taiwanese.
First, the MND rarely, if ever, based on policy, criticizes or complains about China being an existential threat.
Second, the Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) and Navy (PLAAN) have been slowly encircling the island over the past year, even conducting extensive circumnavigation combat air patrols (CAP) along Taiwan Eastern coast (though most are reconnaissance unmanned aerial combat vehicles/UCAV)
Third, there has been speculation that China will conduct an air and sea embargo to force the Taiwan government to surrender. China does not want to destroy Taiwan’s vast chipmaking industry, nor does the U.S. government. The most impressive CAPs were conducted in the middle of Winter, something never seen before.
Fourth, recent undersea cable cutting of Taiwan communications are disconcerting when added to China’s prolific arsenal of anti-satellite weapons (both kinetic and non-kinetic ASAT). Taiwan and the U.S. do have a mlitary-to-military hotline for a crisis. That might be destroyed in the early part of the war.
Fifth, due to sea and air conditions (the weather) the perfect time to conduct an embargo would be around Tomb Sweeping Day in the Spring.
With an air/sea embargo, Taiwan would batten down the hatches and prolong the embargo in the hopes the U.S. military rescues the island, then in mid-summer, if all is ready, the Chinese would begin air strikes on major military command and control nodes, air bases, radar, but ignoring the 40x Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) facilities.
Once China’s Air Force has complete command and control of the air above and around Taiwan, parachutes will begin dropping, along with helicopters full of special forces. These commandos would seek out Tier One leadership, both political and military, for execution. No one will have it rougher than Tier One pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) members.
The final stage would begin when the moon turns the Taiwan Strait tides perfect for a west coast amphibious assault during Ghost Month in the Autumn. The assault will most likely occur at Taipei Port near Tamshui and along the coastline near the Taoyuan International Airport. Both are needed intact for bringing in heavy equipment and more troops.
