UK Works Closely With China on Hypersonic Weapons
Operation Paperclip in Reverse?
By Wendell Minnick (Whiskey Mike) 顏文德
TAIPEI - There was a time when the United Kingdom (UK) was referred to as an ally so close that they earned the nickname our “cousins” in World War II and the Cold War.
At the end of World War II there was a mad rush between the Soviets and the Americans to exfiltrate as many German rocket scientists as possible.
It seems the Chinese are doing the same, except it is hypersonic weapon technology from the UK.
And the China Aerospace Studies Institute (CASI) has drilled deep and found our cousins more of a black sheep of the family than expected.
A May 2023 paper written by Geoffrey Chambers and Matt Bruzzese at BluePath Labs demonstrates the level of stupidity and/or corruption it takes to have a trusted ally do so much damage to world peace that it threatens not only the U.S. but the existential future of Pacific democracies.
With Chinese hypersonic missiles armed with nuclear weapons there would be little or no warning of an attack.
That has not stopped our cousins from helping China develop weapons, particularly after openly threatening war over Taiwan and with anyone who interferes.
There is also the problem of Iran’s sudden acquisition of the same technology via China.
