President Tsai Commends CSIS
Is America Taiwan's Fiend?
By Wendell Minnick (Whiskey Mike) 顏文德
TAIPEI - Taiwan has been sending members of the military and government to the DC-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) for at least 30 years.
How do I know?
Because I keep tripping over them after they return to Taiwan to continue their careers.
CSIS holds a special gaze in my world of unspeakable truths.

On 4 September, President Tsai welcomed a CSIS delegation to the Presidential Office in Taipei.
Her press release rambled on about security issues and all the really great help CSIS has been to Taiwan.
But one remark gave me qǐ jīpí gēda:
She expressed gratitude to CSIS for its long-standing concern over such issues, as well as cross-strait and Taiwan-specific matters and remarked that the group’s visit will enable a deeper understanding of the region’s current situation.
Is she that stupid?
How many Taiwan CSIS fellowship alumni are working in her administration? And how many are spread across the government and military?
Does she even know?
Has the National Security Bureau (NSB) told her who is who? Or perhaps the NSB could care less about it in the first place.
Sometimes I could care less, but I cannot let my readership down.
What do I do? How do I speak the unspeakable?
