ABOVE: General Liu is presenting a challenge coin. These coins are normal tokens of hospitality given out during military gatherings. Nothing special in my opinion, so the display should not be misinterpreted.

Northrop Grumman Screws Taiwan General

China Does Not Need Spies With Northrop

By Wendell Minnick (Whiskey Mike) 顏文德

TAIPEI - Try to imagine one of the most sensitive military facilities in the United States and then allow a U.S. arms dealer getting total access to the commander of the facility.

Then be stupid enough to post the pictures on your LinkedIn account!

That is what Sean McLay posted on 1 February. A former U.S. Air Force officer based in Japan, McLay became the Director of Business Development for Asia-Pacific for Northrop Grumman in October 2023.

McLay is not a China/Taiwan expert, but it matters not as China does not need spies in Japan to know what Northrop is doing with Taiwan’s Air Defense and Missile Command (ADMC).

China has roughly 1,500 ballistic missiles aimed at Taiwan and probably a few thousand cruise missiles. The ADMC’s main responsibility is defeating this barrage and saving millions of Taiwanese from a brutal invasion.
