I honestly don’t understand exactly what there is to be studied in Mr.Ma speech at the prestigious university where I believe he had his PHD done.

Mr. Ma has been saying the same things over and over almost at nausea. Albeit there is some truth in what he said, even a junior high graduated knows that. Mr.Ma left his second term presidency with a very low approval rate for his work. Basically if one has to take his advice in dealing with China PRC, Taiwan will be part of the PRC with not much local consensus among the Taiwan population, in a relatively short time. Mr. Ma strategy would leave no much bargain for Taiwan as the different interpretation of what one China means is just a dream. The same dream CKS had, the Chinese escaped from China to Taiwan to believe that one day he would take back the “mainland” . Under current Emperor Xi ‘s time in power in the China PRC , a unification with China would mean the end of Taiwan and its development as we know it. What actually both president Tsai and now president Lai say actually represent just a fact. PRC and ROC are two different states not subordinate to each other. Whoever says the contrary has not a real grasp on reality. To pretend the contrary and tout the old 1992 consensus is not conducive to anything. Emperor Xi is obviously tired of Taiwan rulers binding their time while waiting for a big change in China PRC system to take place. Xi won’t be around much longer. While waiting that this happening hoping for a “positive” change in the Kingdom of Middle Earth, Taiwan is better to be ready for some rough time. If buying more weapons from USA won’t help , neither is to heed the Mr.Ma advices.
