Gun Malfunction - Guandu Defense Command

Taiwan 205th Arsenal Opens Investigation

By Wendell Minnick (Whiskey Mike) 顏文德

TAIPEI - A recent malfunction of the indigenous built 9MM T75K3 ACP raise questions about quality control by the 205th Arsenal, which manufactured the weapon under the Materiel Production Center (MPC) under the Armaments Bureau.

The 18 March incident occurred at a shooting range in Keelung with the Guandu Defense Command (Tamsui) under the 6th Army.

Shooting ranges are scarce in Taiwan, as many have been closed over the past 20 years due to demilitarization and the combining of brigades.
