Why Taiwan Should Be Concerned About the US

I rarely share outside material unrelated to Taiwan, but I think this analysis of how America is LARPing its way to a civil war applies to Taiwan’s future.

Since the end of World War 2, the US is the so-called “world’s police” keeping the peace around the world. If true, what happens if the US truly spirals into a civil war?

Also of interest to me, is the analysis of war reporters that reflects Mark Pedelty’s legendary anthropological study: War Stories: The Culture of Foreign Correspondents.

The book became my bible of sorts when it was published in 1995 and I always keep it close to remind myself of the dangers of narrative construction and the tomfoolery I have witnessed amongst my peers and even myself.
