TAIPEI - Another rare Winter air exercise against Taiwan was conducted
Note the upper hook along the east coast of what most likely was an advanced long-range unmanned aerial vehicle for surveillance/reconnaissance. In the past, China has used the BZ-005 for these missions.
And, as typical, the Chinese are securing dominance of the Bashi Channel between Taiwan and Philippines.

China’s recent Winter exercises have given me pause. The question of a Spring air/sea blockade remain unanswered, but China is learning how to dominate with little pushback from Taiwan beyond monitoring.
